Keep it Simple: Recommended Styles for Absolute Beginners

There are so many styles out there and it can be pretty intimidating for someone starting to wear lingerie.

For the first time lingerie user I recommend starting with styles that are not overly complicated with straps, garters and lace ups. It could also be difficult for your partner to figure out how to work with them. Our suggestion is to slip something on that doesn’t require a lot of steps and feel comfortable in what you are wearing. Remember there is always time to try out different styles but whatever you choose, wear it with confidence.

Here are some of the best options to start with:

Bodystockings

A great fit no matter your body type! These skin tight bodystocking styles come in a variety of styles and are an amazing option if you like the gartered look without struggling with garter clips.

This is the most fool proof style since it has a very high stretch composition, offering comfort without sacrificing sensuality and accentuate your every curve.  From more to less coverage you choose how much skin you want to show.

Babydolls

This is one of the most popular styles of lingerie. Babydolls are comfortable but offer more luxurious fabrics than sleepwear. Most have a sheer bottom which will definitely pique the interest of your lover and can be comfortable for sleeping.

It is also a straightforward piece that you can just slip on and that can easily be taken off too! 😉 Since they are not skin tight they are very forgiving and will compliment most body types.

Chemises

If you’re feeling a bit more daring chemises are a good option as they offer similar qualities to a babydoll but are much more figure hugging. They definitely have more sex appeal and show off your every curve. Some styles can even be comfortable enough for sleeping but most are meant for play. 

I suggest starting with a chemise that has no garters or one that has detachable garters so you can always add them later on.

Bra Sets

A bra and panty set is something you are already used to wearing on a daily basis and should be something you and yourr partner is comfortable with. 

There is a great variety of styles and my suggestion is to either start with a bra and panty set or even get a set that includes a garter and save that for later so you can wow your partner when you deem fit. 

Bra sets are very versatile because the pieces can be worn separately and can really be amped up on sex appeal with garters, stockings, heels and also a robe. Mix and match as you please!

Teddies

Teddies are a classic piece that has become a wardrobe staple that displays your legs and elongates your figure. They are also the most comfortable as they move along with your body not to mention in general easier to put on (and take off).

Gowns

Gowns are super elegant and most styles can just be slipped on quite easily. There is a sultry look that will elongate your body and styles with slits will put your legs on display.

Sleepwear and Loungewear

This is a great option to start with as it is comfortable and straightforward. It does however have some sex appeal but it is not intimidating since it is not “over the top” sexy lingerie.
